Rollcall Terms of Service
Effective date: October 7, 2026 | Version: 2026-10
Plain summary. Rollcall helps event organizers run guest lists, RSVPs, passes, and door check-in. Guests use it to RSVP and get a pass. Be honest, be 18 or older, keep your account secure, follow the law, and do not misuse guest data. Organizers run the events, not Rollcall. Rollcall is free today. Disputes go to individual arbitration unless you opt out within 30 days.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1 Who we are. Rollcall is run by Axis Labs LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("Rollcall," "we," "us").
1.2 What is covered. These terms cover letsrollcall.com (event pages, RSVPs, the guest wallet), the organizer app at app.letsrollcall.com, the door check-in app at door.letsrollcall.com, our Android wallet app, and anything else that links here (the "Service").
1.3 Who you are. You may be one or more of these:
- a Guest: someone who RSVPs to an event or holds a pass;
- an Organizer: a person or business that creates events or runs an organization on Rollcall;
- a Team Member: someone an Organizer has added to their organization; or
- a door device user: someone using a phone or tablet signed in to the check-in app.
Sections 4 and 5 say who they apply to. The rest applies to everyone.
1.4 Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms. If they conflict about personal information, the Privacy Policy controls.
1.5 Agreeing. You agree by checking the agreement box, creating an account, RSVPing, or using the Service. If you act for a business, you confirm you can bind it.
1.6 Changes. We may update these terms. Each version has a label, shown at the top. For a material change we will email you or tell you in the app, and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. If you decline, you cannot keep using your account, but you can still delete it. Changes do not affect disputes that already started.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to hold a Rollcall account. Other rules:
2.1 Event age rules. An Organizer can set a higher age for an event, such as 21+. Having an account does not let you into an event with a higher limit.
2.2 Accurate information. Give us accurate, current information, including your name, your email, and answers an Organizer asks for. Do not lie to get into an event or past an age gate.
2.3 One person, one account. Keep one account, for yourself. Do not share it, create accounts for other people, or open a new account to get around a block or age gate.
2.4 Legal ability. You must be legally able to agree to these terms and not barred from using the Service under law, including sanctions (Section 16.9).
If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we may close it.
3. Your account
3.1 Sign-in. There are no passwords. You ask for a one-time code, and we email it to you. Where enabled, we can text it to your phone instead. Codes expire in minutes and stop working after a few wrong guesses.
3.2 Your inbox is the key. We confirm only that you can receive messages at your email or phone. We do not confirm who you are. You are responsible for keeping that inbox and phone secure. Anyone who controls them can get into your account.
3.3 Activity. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including RSVPs, messages, and, for Team Members, actions taken for an organization.
3.4 Unauthorized use. If you think someone used your account, or your inbox was compromised, tell us at hey@letsrollcall.com and sign out of your devices.
3.5 Costs. You pay for your own device, connection, and carrier charges.
4. Guests
Summary. RSVPs and passes are free. A pass is your personal way into one event. Organizers decide who gets in. Rollcall does not host events.
4.1 Free today. Rollcall does not sell tickets or take payment from guests. Section 8 covers any change.
4.2 A pass is not a ticket. A pass shows an Organizer has you on the list for an event. It has no cash value and does not guarantee entry. It is personal to you. Do not sell, trade, or give it away. The one exception is a plus-one spot that you explicitly reserve for a named person through Rollcall.
4.3 Plus-one spots. A spot you reserve is held for that person. Unclaimed spots are released before the event so others can use them. If you give us someone's phone or email to hold a spot, you confirm you may share it for that purpose.
4.4 Organizers set the rules. For each event the Organizer decides capacity, access mode (anyone with the link, passcode, or invitation only), the questions you must answer, whether there is an age gate or waiver, and who is approved, waitlisted, declined, removed, or blocked. We do not review those decisions.
4.5 Reserved seats. At events with an age gate or waiver, a "going" RSVP holds your seat for 15 minutes while you finish those steps. If you do not finish, the seat is released. You count as going only after every step is cleared.
4.6 Age confirmation and ID scan. If an event has an age gate, you may be asked to confirm your age or scan your ID. You must answer honestly. If you say you are 21 or older, you must be. The scan reads the barcode on a U.S. or Canadian license in your own browser, checks the birth date, expiration date, and issuing jurisdiction for a moment, and sends us only a one-word result (passed, under age, expired, failed, or skipped). It does not send or keep your photo, name, address, license number, or birth date. The scan is a deterrent. It is not proof of your age or identity. The Organizer must still check ID at the door, and you must show valid ID if asked.
4.7 Waivers. A waiver is an agreement between you and the Organizer. Rollcall's waiver template also releases Rollcall, as a third-party beneficiary, from claims connected to your attendance. We store your signed copy. Read it before signing, and do not sign if you disagree.
4.8 Reach the host. Your name, email, and message go to the Organizer's owners. We are not responsible for whether or how they reply.
4.9 At the event. Follow the Organizer's and venue's rules and the law. They can refuse entry or remove you. Events are run at venues we do not control, and you attend at your own risk.
5. Organizers
Summary. You run your events. You are responsible for the law, venue, team, guest list, and guest data. Rollcall is software, not your partner or insurer.
5.1 Rollcall is a tool. We do not vet Organizers or events, and we do not host, run, or insure any event. We are not a party to any relationship between a Guest and an Organizer. Where a waiver releases Rollcall, we may enforce that release even though we are not a party to the event.
5.2 Your events. You alone are responsible for:
- your events and venues, including permits, licenses, insurance, capacity, safety, security, and accessibility;
- complying with every law that applies, including age laws and laws on alcohol, cannabis, and other regulated products;
- the accuracy of your event information, including times, place, rules, and cancellations; and
- your admission decisions: who you accept, decline, remove, block, or turn away.
5.3 Alcohol and cannabis. Rollcall is not a marketplace. We do not list, sell, or help sell any product. If your event involves alcohol, cannabis, or another regulated product, you are solely responsible for complying with local, state, and federal law.
5.4 Age gates. You choose whether an event has an age gate. The Rollcall scan is a deterrent only. You must still check ID at the door and turn away anyone who is under age.
5.5 Team and door devices. You are responsible for everyone you add as a Team Member and every door device you sign in. Give people only the access they need and remove them when they no longer need it. Door devices are for your own team at your own events.
5.6 Your contact list. When you import or add contacts, you confirm that:
- the people expect to hear from you, and you have the right to use their information that way;
- you have a valid postal address for marketing email and will keep it current; and
- you will follow CAN-SPAM and all other laws on email and messages you send.
An imported phone number is not consent to receive texts. Do not send marketing texts to imported numbers.
5.7 Guest data. Through Rollcall you will see guests' names, answers, attendance, waiver status, and some contact details. You may use that data only to run your own events and to communicate with those guests, lawfully and consistent with our Privacy Policy. You may not sell, rent, or trade it; use it for anything unrelated to your events; or share it except as needed to run your event (for example, with your own staff or security) and only if they follow the same limits. If a guest asks you to delete their information, you must, unless the law requires you to keep it.
5.8 Waivers. You may use our waiver template or your own. The template is a starting point, not legal advice, and may not fit your event or state. Get your own legal advice. You are responsible for the waivers you use and for storing and using signed waivers lawfully.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- host or promote an illegal event, or use Rollcall to sell or offer controlled substances;
- harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone, or send abusive or sexually explicit content;
- scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service by automated means (ordinary search-engine indexing of public pages is fine, and so is using the API we publish at letsrollcall.com/developers with your own organization's key);
- get around an age gate, capacity limit, block, access mode, or any other control;
- impersonate anyone, or claim a connection you do not have;
- send spam, bulk or unsolicited messages, or phishing;
- reverse engineer or try to extract the source code, except where the law allows;
- probe, attack, or interfere with the Service, or upload malware; or
- share a door device or its sign-in beyond your own team.
We do not routinely review what people post and are not required to. We may investigate reports, remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts (Section 11).
7. Content and licenses
7.1 Your content. "Your Content" is what you submit: event pages, covers, avatars, logos, messages, answers, contact lists, and notes. You own it. You are responsible for it and promise you have the rights to post it.
7.2 License to us. You give Rollcall a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, store, copy, display, transmit, and process Your Content solely to operate, secure, and support the Service for you, as these terms and the Privacy Policy describe. We do not sell Your Content or use it for advertising.
7.3 When it ends. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups until they are overwritten and records we keep as described in Section 11. Copies others already received, such as an email, stay with them.
7.4 Public pages. What you put on an event page can be seen by anyone who can open it, depending on the access mode. Do not put private information there.
7.5 Feedback. If you give us feedback, we may use it freely without paying you.
7.6 Our property. Rollcall, its software, design, names, and logos belong to us or our licensors. You may use the Service as these terms allow and nothing more. You may say that you use Rollcall, but do not otherwise use our name or marks without written permission.
7.7 Copyright complaints. If you believe content on Rollcall infringes your copyright, email hey@letsrollcall.com (designated agent: Axis Labs LLC, hey@letsrollcall.com) with a description of the work, where the content is, your contact details, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act. We may close the accounts of repeat infringers.
8. Fees
8.1 Free today. Rollcall does not charge Guests or Organizers as of the effective date. We do not process payments, sell tickets, give refunds, or pay anyone out.
8.2 Possible paid plans. We may introduce paid plans or features. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any fee applies to you.
8.3 No charge without agreement. We will not charge you unless you explicitly agree to the price and terms. We will state fees clearly at that time, and extra terms will apply to any paid feature.
8.4 Not a payment agreement. Nothing in these terms is an agreement to pay or be paid any amount.
9. Messaging
9.1 Organizer emails. When an Organizer emails you through Rollcall (invitations, updates, reminders), it goes out as "[Organization] via Rollcall," and replies go to the Organizer. The Organizer decides what to send and is responsible for it.
9.2 Unsubscribing. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, with one-click unsubscribe supported. Unsubscribing applies to that Organizer only, so you may need to do it for each one. If an address bounces or you mark a message as spam, we may stop sending to it.
9.3 Account email. We also send messages you need to use your account: sign-in codes, team invitations, and account or deletion notices. These have no unsubscribe link. Event emails such as confirmations, changes, and cancellations are sent in the Organizer's name, so if you unsubscribe from an Organizer you will stop getting those too, including cancellation notices. You can adjust reminder and guest-message settings in your profile.
9.4 Sign-in texts. Where phone sign-in is enabled, we text a one-time code to the number you give us. Carrier rates may apply. We never use it for marketing.
9.5 Future texting. We do not send marketing or event texts today. If we add texting, we will ask for your consent first, explain what you will get, and honor any reasonable way you tell us to stop, such as replying STOP or similar words, or telling us by email.
9.6 Push notifications. If you turn on notifications, we may send reminders and updates. You can turn them off in your profile or device settings.
10. Privacy and data
Read our Privacy Policy at letsrollcall.com/privacy. In short: data about an Organizer's events, guest list, contacts, notes, and messages is controlled by that Organizer, who decides how to use it within these terms and the law. We hold it to provide the Service. Data we need to run the Service itself, such as accounts, sign-in records, security logs, and abuse prevention, is controlled by us. Each Organizer's contact records are separate and other Organizers do not see them. Guests may see other attendees as first name and last initial unless the attendee has chosen to hide; they never see contact details.
11. Suspension and termination
11.1 Deleting your account. You can delete your account any time in your profile settings. There is a 7-day grace period to change your mind. After that:
- your sign-in, avatar, and notification settings are removed, and your profile name, email, and phone are cleared, so your profile becomes "Deleted guest";
- contact records that Organizers have linked to you, including history, tags, and notes, are deleted; and
- we keep certain records attached to your anonymized profile: RSVPs, passes, signed waivers (with your signed name and phone number), messages to hosts, perks, and check-in entries. Organizers and we may need these for safety, legal, and dispute reasons.
Deleting your account does not delete copies Organizers already received. See the Privacy Policy for more.
11.2 Organizations. If you own an organization, transfer or close it before deleting your account. Closing it ends access for its Team Members.
11.3 Our right to suspend or end. We may suspend or end an account or organization if you break these terms or the law, if we reasonably think it is needed to protect Guests, Organizers, the Service, or others, or if the law or legal process requires it. Where practical, we will tell you why and let you fix the problem first. For serious or urgent problems we may act immediately.
11.4 Our access to data. To operate the Service, investigate abuse, and provide support, Rollcall staff may view organization data in read-only form. We limit that to what we need.
11.5 After termination. Your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by nature should survive do, including 7, 11.1, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16. Organizers should export the data they need before closing.
12. Disclaimers
12.1 As is. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12.2 Events. We do not guarantee that an event will happen, be safe, lawful, or as described, that you will be admitted, or that anyone will attend. A pass does not guarantee entry.
12.3 No verification. We do not verify that Organizers or Guests are who they say they are, and we do not vet venues. The age scan is a deterrent, not verification of age or identity.
12.4 Door app offline mode. The door app may keep a copy of the guest list on the device so it works with a poor connection. In offline mode, data can be out of date, check-ins may sync late, and a pass may be accepted on more than one device until they sync. Organizers are responsible for their door procedures and backup methods.
12.5 Availability. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that data will never be lost. We may change or stop features. Do not rely on Rollcall as your only record for anything important.
12.6 Third parties. The Service relies on third-party providers. We are not responsible for them or for third-party sites we link to.
Some places do not allow certain disclaimers. Where that is so, they apply only as far as the law allows.
13. Limitation of liability
13.1 No indirect damages. To the fullest extent the law allows, Rollcall and its owners, officers, employees, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, even if told they might occur.
13.2 Cap. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service or these terms is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Rollcall in the 12 months before the claim arose.
13.3 What this does not limit. These limits do not apply to liability the law does not let us limit, such as fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence where the law forbids limiting it.
13.4 Events and other users. We are not responsible for what Organizers, venues, Guests, or other users do or fail to do, including at events. Your claims about an event are against the Organizer and the others involved.
14. Indemnity
14.1 Organizers. You will defend and indemnify Rollcall and its owners, officers, employees, and suppliers against claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your events, venues, and attendees; your use of guest data or your contact list; messages you send or have us send; your waivers and admission decisions; your Team Members and door devices; and your breach of these terms or the law.
14.2 Guests. You will defend and indemnify them against claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, including false answers to get past an age gate.
14.3 Process. We will tell you about the claim and let you control the defense (we may join with our own lawyer at our cost). You may not settle in a way that admits fault for us without our consent. This section does not cover claims caused by our own breach of these terms.
15. Disputes
Summary. Talk to us first. If that fails, disputes go to individual arbitration, not court, unless you opt out within 30 days. Small claims court is still open. This section affects your legal rights, so read it carefully.
15.1 Informal resolution. Before filing anything, write to hey@letsrollcall.com with your name, account email, a description of the problem, and what you want. We will try to resolve it within 45 days. Neither of us may start arbitration or a court case until those 45 days pass, and time limits are paused meanwhile.
15.2 Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, you and Rollcall agree that any dispute about the Service or these terms will be decided by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") Consumer Arbitration Rules (the "Rules") administered by the AAA, and not in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs. The arbitrator decides whether a claim is arbitrable, but a court decides whether the class waiver in 15.4 is valid.
15.3 Where and how. The arbitration takes place in the county where you live or by video, as you choose. The provider's consumer fee rules apply, and we pay what the Rules require us to pay. The arbitrator can award the same individual relief a court could.
15.4 No class actions, no jury. To the fullest extent the law allows, you and Rollcall may bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator may not combine claims or award relief to anyone but the person bringing the claim. You and Rollcall each waive the right to a jury trial. If a court finds the class waiver unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court and the rest stays in arbitration.
15.5 Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual case in small claims court if it qualifies, or go to court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property.
15.6 Opt out. You may opt out of arbitration and the class waiver within 30 days of first accepting these terms. Email hey@letsrollcall.com with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" and your name and account email. Email is enough. You do not need to mail a letter. Opting out does not change the rest of these terms.
15.7 Changes. If we change this section in a way that materially hurts you, you may reject the change by emailing us within 30 days of notice, and the earlier version will continue to apply to you.
16. General
16.1 Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except the Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 15. You keep any mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live.
16.2 Venue. Subject to Section 15, court cases must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Nevada, and we both consent to them.
16.3 Changes. We may change these terms as Section 1.6 describes.
16.4 Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours, for example in a merger or sale.
16.5 Force majeure. Neither of us is liable for failing to perform because of events beyond our reasonable control, such as disasters, power or internet outages, government action, pandemics, war, or labor disputes.
16.6 No waiver. Not enforcing a term does not give up our right to enforce it later.
16.7 Severability. If part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force, and the invalid part is changed only as much as needed (subject to 15.4).
16.8 Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any extra terms you accept for a feature are the whole agreement between you and Rollcall about the Service. Agreements between you and an Organizer are separate.
16.9 Electronic communications and sanctions. You agree to receive notices electronically, by email to your account address or in the Service, and that electronic records satisfy any writing or signature requirement. You may not use the Service if you are on a U.S. government list of prohibited parties or in a country under U.S. embargo, or to violate export or sanctions laws.
16.10 Contact. Axis Labs LLC, hey@letsrollcall.com.
17. App stores
17.1 If you get the Rollcall wallet app from Google Play, the Apple App Store, or another store (a "Store"), these terms are between you and Rollcall, not the Store. The Store has no duty to maintain or support the app and is not responsible for claims about it, such as product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims. We are.
17.2 You must follow the Store's terms that apply to you.
17.3 If you get an app from the Apple App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If the app fails a legal warranty, you may tell Apple, which may refund any purchase price. Apple has no other warranty duty for the app.
17.4 Google is not a party to these terms.
